Springtime in Hambleden today!

By theoldhomestore, Apr 11 2015 05:47AM

The Old Home Store will be at Hambleden Covered Market again today - a slightly pared-down stall to make way for the first big batch of garden plants and heirloom veg plantlets. However, some nice vintage items to take home as usual!

Five Heirloom tomato varieties available today (loads more to follow) to bring on under glass - plenty of TOHS favourite 'Silvery Fir Tree' - early cropper, and determinate bush-type with amazing foliage as the name suggests.

Who can't resist heirloom lettuces with names like 'Big Fat Lazy Blond' or 'Queen of May?' All ready to plant out and begin croping very soon.

Come and get in touch with your Monty Don side at Hambleden today. The village is looking spectacular with beautiful cottage gardens and the best weeping pink blossom tree that you will have ever seen. Spring has truly sprung in the Hambleden Valley.

Just a small part of last year's Heirloom tomato crop - get started now!
