Spring is in the air - so new visitors to Hambleden.

The dry weather - with sunny spells, brough some new faces to Hambleden Covered Market yesterday, and lots of regulars too.

Popular lines from The Old Home Store yesterday were all things Easter. Vintage German hand-embroidered tablecloths, Easter decorations and plants for those itching to get out in the garden and get things growing.

Several loyal customers were asking about cut flowers - but TOHS wasn't prepared to compete with the supermarkets on Mothering Sunday weekend I'm afraid - but several people were pleased with the Lily-of-the-Valley in pots and silk Snowdrop and Fritillary bunches instead.

Whilst gossiping elsewhere in the hall, a customer enquired as to whether the bespoke Mothers' Day bunting stall prop could be purchased. The computer (my friend) said 'No' - but everything has a price, and in future, please discuss with me. I can also make similar for you to your own personal requirements, or email the templates if you have plenty of printer ink and a laminator! Please ask for a quote.

TOHS has gone into mass production of Heirloom / Heritage plants for the garden and allotment to begin being wheeled out as from next month. If you fancy some 'Big Fat Lazy Blondes' or 'Queen of May' amongst others then come and see me at Hambleden in April. Both tender, leafy and juicy!

Have a lovely Mothers' Day today, and thank you to all my customers and chums - please feel free to leave a comment.
