Busy buying holiday weekend

By theoldhomestore, Oct 13 2015 12:00PM

Q. When is a holiday not a holiday?

A. When it's Columbus Day!

Lots of special events this weekend. Some kids off school, some not. Some people at work, some not. Anyway, lots of things about to do and lots of junk to buy - so that's a good thing.

Dade City Antiques Faire (with an e) proved very fruitful for primitives, but all geared up for Halloween at the moment. Was hoping for some prim dolls, but mostly witches and cats - not the scary santas and angels just yet. Great kitchenalia.

Websters Flea Market was much busier due to the holiday, and slightly more comfortable weather. Again, lots of nice things to bring home for TOHS.

These make the last big buying trips for this visit. It has been great. I hope that I can get it all home! If not, it will have to stay in the cupboard until January, when TOHS will be out again - as TOHS devotees are going to buy it all for Christmas - aren't you!
